Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-v3 · Updated 12 October 2026

Draft for legal review. Highlighted items are still to be filled in.
In short: NOW is business software. Your data is yours. Keep your login safe, follow the law, and tell your customers you keep their records. These terms are a binding agreement.

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY], [ADDRESS] ("NOW"). By ticking the box and creating an account, or by using NOW, you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy and the Data Processing Agreement. This acceptance is valid as an electronic contract under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

You must be 18 or older and use NOW for your business. If you sign up for a company, you confirm you can bind it.

2. What NOW is, and is not

3. Your account

4. Plans and prices

5. Payments

Payments are handled by Razorpay under its own terms. We do not store your card, UPI PIN or bank details. If you are charged twice or charged but not activated, write to us and see the Refund Policy.

6. Your data

Bills made in NOW are simple receipts. They are not a GST tax invoice unless we say so in the app. If you are registered under GST, you must issue invoices as the CGST Act, 2017 and its rules require, and keep your accounts for the period the law sets. NOW does not file returns. Ask your chartered accountant what you need.

8. Udhaar records

NOW only records what you tell it. It does not lend money, collect dues or judge who owes what. Any dispute between you and your customer is between the two of you.

9. What you must not do

10. Service changes and downtime

We work to keep NOW running but cannot promise it will never be down. We may improve or change features. We will not remove a core feature you paid for without notice and a fair alternative. Planned maintenance will be announced when we can.

11. Ending your account

12. Our rights in NOW

NOW, its name, logo and software belong to us. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use it. If you send us ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

13. Our responsibility

NOW is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. We are not responsible for losses from things we do not control, such as your phone, internet, power or provider outages, or wrong data you entered. We are not liable for lost profit or indirect loss.

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms removes any right you have under law that cannot be removed, such as under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or limits liability for fraud.

14. If someone claims against us because of your use

You agree to cover our reasonable losses if a third party's claim arises from your unlawful use of NOW, or from customer data you had no right to record.

15. Law and disputes

Indian law applies. First write to our Grievance Officer (see /grievance). We aim to resolve in 30 days. If it is not resolved, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to approach a consumer commission.

16. Notices and changes

We send notices to your registered email or show them in the app. If we change these Terms, we post the new version and date, and tell you in the app or by email for important changes. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account.

17. General

If a part of these Terms is invalid, the rest stays. Not enforcing a right is not giving it up. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our control. The English version is the one that applies.

18. Contact
